Palos Verdes Art Center Dream House Raffle 2019

Palos Verdes Art Center Dream House Raffle 2019

The Palos Verdes Art Center is holding its 17th annual PVAC Dream House Raffle.  This year’s dream prize is a Midcentury Pasadena Estate or $5,000,000.  This Dream House was designed by acclaimed architects Thornton Ladd and John Kelsey in 1962 as a Modernist Roman Villa for Kelsey and his family.  This three bedroom, three and a half bath home with floor to ceiling glass wraps around the pool and is located on a woodsy, secluded property in Pasadena above the Annandale Golf Club.  There is also a guest house with full bath and with a separate entrance.

For the past seventeen years the Palos Verdes Art Center has given away millions in cash and prizes.  The money raised continues to fund the Center’s exhibitions and educational programs.  The Art Center is available for local Palos Verdes homes owners to take classes, purchase hand crafted items and visit local artist exhibitions in the galleries.  It also hosts the Art At Your Fingertips training center which provides the Palos Verdes Peninsula School District with their art programs.  Art Center has also been used to teach art projects to at-risk youth and foster children.

The donation for a raffle ticket is still $150 and is limited to only 60,000 ticket sales.  As in past raffles, there are special drawings for buyers who purchase tickets early.  The Holiday Bonus Drawing for a $5,000 guided trip for 2 to HAVANA BIENAL featuring 5 days/4 nights at Hotel Saratoga in Havana, Cuba, or $5,000 in cash must be purchased by midnight December 7, 2018.  The drawing will take place at PVAC at 5:30 p.m. on December 20, 2018.  Tickets purchased by midnight Friday, February 22, 2019, will be eligible for the first Early Bird Drawing (Early Bird #1) on March 7, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m.  The same format will be followed for the second Early Bird Drawing (Early Bird #2) for tickets purchased by March 29th.  Tickets purchased by midnight Friday March 29, 2019, (including all tickets purchased before the March 7th drawing) will be included in the second Early Bird Drawing on April 11, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m. at PVAC.

Multiple tickets purchased by the stated deadlines will be eligible for both Early Bird Drawings and the Multiple Ticket Drawing on that day.  The following format will be used:

  • The Multiple Ticket Drawing will be held first.  All tickets that qualify for the Multiple Ticket drawing will be placed in the drum, a winner will be drawn.  The winning Multiple Ticket Drawing ticket, along with all other tickets, will be placed in the drum for the rest of the drawings.
  • Early Bird drawing #1 will take place on March 7, 2019, for a new 2019 Audi Q3 SUV or $25,000 cash (plus other prize levels).  Early Bird drawing #2 will take place on April 11, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. for a new 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman or $50,000 (plus other prize levels).  There are also 3 multiple ticket drawings for $15,000 each (but you must buy two or more tickets to quality).  Final ticket purchases must be made by April 26, 2019, by midnight.  This year the new 50/50 add-on tickets are available for $20 for 1, $50 for 3, or $75 for 6.  Winner receives half of the jackpot.  These 50/50 tickets must be purchased at the same time as your raffle ticket.
