Palos Verdes Joins Champions For Children 2019 5K Trail Run/Walk
Palos Verdes homes owners can join the sixth annual 5K trail run/walk fundraiser at Ernie Howlett Park for the South Bay Children’s Health Center. This fun event will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019, beginning at 8:00 a.m. This is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy this great park while supporting the health center.
There is an exciting 5K trail run/walk course on the beautiful city equestrian and hiking trails. There will be age division awards with medals to the top three male and female athletes in 15 different divisions of the 5K. The day will be filled with family activities for children of all ages, vendor booths, a Kids Fun Run and a wonderful, healthy team spirit. Parents will be able to accompany small children at no cost.
The cost for the walk/run 5K for children ages 7 and under is $15, ages 8 to 12 is $25, and ages 13 to 90 is $35. Late registration and event day packet pick up will take place starting at 6:30 a.m. The Opening Ceremony and warm ups will start at 7:30 a.m. and runs will start thereafter.
South Bay Children’s Health Center exists to raise money and build awareness of the need for quality mental and oral health services for under-served children, teens and young adults throughout the South Bay and surrounding areas.
