Palos Verdes Neighborhood Church 2019 Summer Concerts
Palos Verdes Neighborhood Church Summer Sunday Sounds will begin their 2019 season on Sunday, June 23, 2019, with additional concerts on July 21, and August 18, 2019. This is a great time for Palos Verdes homes owners to sit on the seaside terrace of this beautiful church, enjoy the ocean view, and bring a picnic at 6:00 p.m. The concerts actually begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall and are presented free of charge.
On June 23, 2019, Sarah Fantappie will be starting the Summer Sunday Sound series. Sarah graduated from Chapman University where she toured with the University Singer’s Choir. She has also sung for many special presentations at the Neighborhood Church. Her repertoire consists of classical, romantic, and baroque songs sung in English & Italian.
On July 21, 2019, Gravity 180 will be joining the concert series with their talented trio of very talented performers, Clydene Jackson, Oliver Brown, and Harold Payne. Clydene is well know in the industry as a session singer who has written for Natalie Cole & Barbara Mandrell. Harold is a multi platinum award winning songwriter and performer with recordings of his songs by artists such as Patti LaBelle, Rod Stewart, and Snoop Dog. Oliver was one of the original members of KC and the Sunshine Band. He has toured with Al Jarreau, Natalie Cole, The Beach Boys, and Fleetwood Mac.
On August 18, 2019, the Miskey Mountain Boys will be showing off their talented bluegrass music. The group features Michelle Lynskey, John W. Marshall, Evan J. Marshall, Alex Finazzo and Deborah Kollgaard. Their combined talents and expertise create this incredible, one-of-a-kind band, that seamlessly blend jazz, classical and swing with traditional Bluegrass into a new genre they lovingly call Classgrazz. Featuring uniquely “Miskified” musical arrangements, innovative elements, driving Bluegrass and powerhouse vocals, this show blends mastery with laughter, joy and camaraderie to create an unforgettable experience for their audiences.
