Palos Verdes Ice Skating 2019 Summer Camps!
Palos Verdes homes owners still have an opportunity to enroll their children in this great summer camp. The Promenade Ice Chalet is offering a Summer Hockey Camp and Ice Skating Camp the week of July 29 through August 2, 2019. Camps hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and cost $395/week, or $85 a day. Registration deadline for the camps is July 21, 2019. This is a great opportunity for your children to participate in the hockey or ice skating experience during the summer when your children’s schedules aren’t so busy.
Hockey camp players will be separated based on their skill level. The first half of camp will be focusing on core practice and advanced skating technique. The second half will target on puck control, stick handling, and passing & shooting drills. This will introduce the players to timing, proper aim and pull of the puck, and proper shooting technique. This camp requirement is hockey level 4 and higher. Full gear is required for camp.
Ice Skating Basic 1 to 2 will focus on developing power and balance, while Basic 3 to 5 will be building on their edge control and speed doing crossovers. The basic level skaters will be introduced to new skills not always covered in regular skating school. This is for 6+ age group. Basic 6 or free skate will focus on upper level jump and spin technique as well as edge work and conditioning and stroking skills. Performance elements and artistic skating will also bring a featured.
