Enjoy A Gentle Yoga & Expressive Arts Program Virtually Through Palos Verdes Library District!

The Palos Verdes Library District offers great opportunities for children and adults. Even though the library is closed for visitors, they have many enjoyable opportunities for all.  No matter what your age, there is something for all of us here to enjoy.  The Palos Verdes Library District is dedicated to providing online services to the community during the COVID-19 virus.  The wonderful thing about these programs is that many of the digital resources can be accessed 24/7 with your library card.  If you don’t currently have a library card, you can sign up online and it will be emailed back to you within 48 hours (click here for link).

One of the wonderful programs the Library is currently offering is Gentle Yoga & Expressive Arts Program (Virtual) on September 12, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Registered yoga instructor Mona Wells will present Gentle Yoga & Expressive Arts via Zoom for the Palos Verdes Library District. This program has a foundation in gentle Hatha yoga with visualization and deep relaxation segueing into creative drawing, expressive movement, and transitioning into writing. Attendees may participate using their own yoga mat or chair and must provide their own writing and drawing materials. Although the workshop will be through Zoom, there will be some opportunity to meet and reflect with new people after the participants explore the expressive arts portion of the program via Zoom.

Please have ready the day of:
-Yoga mat and/or chair
-Yoga block, strap, scarf, and/or towel
-Writing paper and/or drawing paper
-Pen and/or Pencil for writing
-Colored pencil, pastel, crayon, marker, etc. for drawing
