Universe Multicultural Film Festival Returns To Palos Verdes!
Palos Verdes homes owners are about to experience an exciting and educational experience that will get you into the world of films. Universe Multicultural Film Festival (UMFF) will be coming to the Peninsula on April 8 to 10, 2022, at the Rolling Hills Community Center, Peninsula Center Library, and the Malaga Cove Library. At this three day event, which is organized by Maeya Culture Exchange Group LLC, they will present a wide variety of films, including original shorts, documentaries, and animations created by those selected filmmakers from all over the world. This festival will offer an amazing opportunity for all visitors to be introduced to different cultures, lifestyles, traditions, and beliefs. All the screened films will be either voiced in English or contain subtitles so there won’t be a language barrier for the audience.
This film exhibition will also allow the community from Los Angeles to attend and take part in different activities such as industry panels and cultural events. Also, the committee will host high-quality events for the participants and collaborators including film receptions, galas, award ceremonies, and specific seminars with directors and filmmakers looking for new and potential projects.
For more information regarding show times and venues go to www.umfilms.org. You will also find a list and briefs of the 45 films from 18 countries which are being shown.
Most events will be held at the Peninsula Center Library located at 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates.
