Palos Verdes Home Owners Enjoy More Local Area Holiday Fun 2025!

Palos Verdes Home Owners Have Another Opportunity for Holiday Fun 2025

Palos Verdes residents looking for local holiday activities near the Peninsula have two more fun events for families to enjoy.

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the local annual Holiday Boat Parade will take place in Redondo Beach at King Harbor.  The day will start off with a Concert on the Pier from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and then the Paddle Craft Parade takes place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (with their decorated and lighted boards).  Next you can enjoy the power and sail boats all decked out for the Holiday Boat Parade starting at 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Enjoy dazzling displays, community spirit, and holiday cheer as participants come together to light up the water in this beloved December event. Organized by the King Harbor Yacht Club, this cherished tradition showcases beautifully decorated boats gliding through the harbor spreading holiday cheer. Their mission is to unite residents and visitors alike, creating joyful memories while fostering a spirit of togetherness and festive fun.

The best viewing area is reported to be at Moonstone Park, 280 Marina Way in Redondo Beach. For more information on the boat parade, trophy categories, and boat entry registration click here.

A great family activity during the holiday season is viewing the lights in Sleepy Hollow (a.k.a. Candy Cane Lane)Tucked away in a South Torrance neighborhood is one of the most spectacular displays of Christmas lights in the South Bay (and possibly in the country) which can be viewed now through January 1, 2026. You can walk or drive through Candy Cane Lane and get in the holiday spirit.  Sleepy Hollow Christmas Lights is located on Roberts Road off Pacific Coast Highway from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every night until New Year’s Eve.  Walking through the area is a much more relaxed up-close view of the displays without all the traffic.  You can skip the traffic by parking on Pacific Coast Highway, Calle Mayor or Prospect and walk to Roberts Road, just west of Calle Mayor.  It’s best to go early in the month as the crowds are bigger between Christmas and New Years.
