Palos Verdes home owners have several events this weekend that they can attend. Free Music Performance or Goat Yoga and Matcha – both of these fun events will be taking place at the South Coast Botanic Garden. Also this Saturday you can take advantage of the Free Shredding and E-Waste Collection Event at the Palos Verdes High School Parking Lot put on by Athens Services.
On Saturday, March 4, 2023, you can enjoy Music in the Garden from several young South Bay musicians groups which is free with the regular Garden admission. This event will be set against the beautiful backdrop of the 87 acres of the Garden and will take place from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. This program will include performances from the Palos Verdes Intermediate and High School jazz Combo, Casimir Middle School Advanced Orchestra, Palos Verdes High School String Quartet, South High Jazz Band, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School Orchestra & Choir, Ridgecrest Intermediate Advanced Band, and the Peninsula High Advanced Jazz Band.
The South Coast Botanic Garden is located at 26322 Crenshaw Blvd, Palos Verdes Peninsula. Due to limited space, they recommend that you contact the Garden early to make your reservations. On Sunday, March 5, 2023, the Garden will be bringing back their popular Goat Yoga and Matcha class from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This exciting class will be held in a fenced in area with four furry farm companions. The class purchase includes a 60 minute yoga session, followed by a delicious cop of hot matcha, and admission to the Garden all day. No experience is required, but space is limited so sign up today. For this opportunity you must bring your own mat. Participants must be at least 10 years old, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. The price is $49 for members and $59 for non members. Remember you are also allowed to visit the park after or before your class. On Saturday, March 4, 2023, Athens Services will be holding their annual Free shredding and e-waste collection event for Palos Verdes residents. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Palos Verdes High School parking lot. It is suggested that you place your shredding and e-waste products in your trunck. Residents are allowed to bring up to three banker size boxes for shredding per household. E-Waste items that will be accepted are tv’s, printers, DVD players, computers and more.
