Palos Verdes home owners have some great presentations to consider in the May 2024 Peninsula Seniors Bohannon Lectures Series. These Lectures take place at Scriba Family Center located at 602 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates, with in-person lectures beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the following Wednesdays:
May 1 – “The Spies Next Door” will be presented by Dr. Peter Barrett as he recalls thrilling stories of submarines and espionage as a boy growing up in Boca Raton, Florida, during WWII.
May 8 – “Saving Michelangelo’s Dome” will be presented by local author Wayne Kalayjian as he discusses his new first book about how three mathematicians and a Pope sparked an architectural revolution.
May 15 – “Pat Pattison’s Best of California” will be presented by the famous host of this nationally syndicated television lifestyle show as he discusses his travels around California telling stories of the people, places, history and mysteries of the Golden State.
May 22 – “Northrop Grumman Aircraft Development” will be presented by local author Michael Ciminera, president of the Western Museum of Flight and retired Northrop Grumman vice president, as he discusses his new book, The Aircraft Designers: A Northrop Grumman Historical Perspective.
May 29 – “Meet the Los Angeles County Assessor” will be presented by County Assessor Jeff Prang as he discusses rising property values and property taxes in LA County. Where is this heading?
