Spring Break takes place next month from April 7th through April 11, 2025, for the Palos Verdes Unified School District. Summer school sign ups have already begun in some age groups, and if history repeats itself, they will fill up fast.
Registration for Palos Verdes elementary students for summer school has begun and will close on June 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. This year the Summer School theme will be “Making Learning Fun Around the World,” and will be held at Cornerstone and Soleodo schools. The school hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and classes run from Monday, June 16th through Friday, July 11, 2025. There will not be classes on July 4, 2025. They are offering a 4 week program and the cost is $750, with before and after school care is being offered at Soleodo during the Summer Break. Both schools will have an afternoon enrichment program for an additional fee.
Registration for Palos Verdes intermediate students participating in a Summer Program will begin at 9:00 a.m. on March 13, 2025, and will close on June 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. This year, classes will be offered at Ridgecrest and Miraleste Intermediate School only. Classes begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. Students will be attending classes from Monday, June 16th through Friday, July 11, 2025. There will be no school on July 4, 2025. The cost for intermediate students is $775.
Summer high school for Palos Verdes students in grades nine through twelve will be offered at Peninsula High School for the on campus learning, or students can choose the online distance learning program. Online registration will be activated according to the specific grade. Students must register through the ACTIVE website. Classes will be offered from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. when in session. Summer school full session cost will be $900 or tuition for a one semester class is $450. First semester classes (3 weeks) start on Tuesday, June 16th through July 3, 2025. Second semester classes (3 weeks) start on Monday, July 7th through July 24, 2025.
