The Palos Verdes Library District is offering a variety of adventures for visitors of all ages in the month of November. Below are just a few of the fun activities:
7th Annual Teen Writing Contest will be taking place from November 3rd through November 30, 2025. Join the Peninsula Library for the 7th Annual Teen Writing Contest! Visit pvld.org/teenwriting contest each Monday in November for another chance to enter!
Playtime at the Library will be taking place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at both Malaga Cove & Miraleste libraries. Playing helps babies and toddlers get ready to read, and they have a special playtime just for them! Drop by during those times to explore amazing toys, check out some great books and make friends, too! Aimed at children 5 years and younger and their parent or caregiver. No registration required. Coloring and Coffee for adults will take place on Thursdays, November 6 & 20, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Join this fun monthly program every first and third Thursday of the month where participants can enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea!), coloring, and conversations. Supplies will be provided. Drop-in. No registration required.
Legomania will take place on Friday, November 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Malaga Cove Library. Use your imagination to build anything you like with their tubs of LEGOs, Duplos, and Lincoln Logs. Recommended for ages 4 and up.
Afternoon of Blues – featuring Bernie Pearl will take place on Saturday, November 8, 025, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Miraleste Library. Bernie Pearl, acclaimed Blues guitarist and storyteller, who learned from blues masters including Sam ‘Lightnin’ Hopkins, Mance Lipscomb, Mississippi Fred MacDowell and others will perform songs from his vast Blues repertoire on his vintage acoustic instruments and read excerpts from his new book “Sitting on the Right Side of the Blues: A Life In The Blues” which recounts rarely-heard stories about the Blues legends who shaped the genre.
Peninsula Origami will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Malaga Cove Library. Origami has many benefits! It helps develop hand-eye coordination, sequencing skills, attention skills, patience, temporal spatial skills and problem solving abilities. Origami promotes mindfulness and is a great stress-reliever. Plus it’s fun! All ages are welcome to join!
K-Pop Fan Fest will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., at the Miraleste Library. Join in for an afternoon filled with different K-Pop themed crafts and activities such as creating phone charms and stickers, trying popular Korean snacks, and learning popular K-pop phrases!
