Palos Verdes home owners celebrate Holiday Traditions on the Peninsula with the local presentations of The Nutcracker Ballet.
The Nutcracker Ballet will be presented by multiple local dance studios at the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Center.
Peninsula School of Performing Arts (PSPA) will perform on Friday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 12:00 noon & 4:00 p.m. Tickets prices are $40 adults/$30 for children 17 and under. This is a full semi-professional production of The Nutcracker Ballet featuring over 100 local children, adults, and award-winning young dancers. In this Christmas classic Herr Drosselmeier weaves an enchanted story through the dreams of a young girl Clara, and her Nutcracker. Her travels take her to the Battle of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, then to the Land of Snow, and on to the Kingdom of the Sweets, where Clara is greeted by the ever so beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy. Classical Ballet Theatre will perform on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $24 adults/$18 for children under 11. The Palos Verdes Ballet is celebrating their 45th anniversary with their production of The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 20, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 1:00 & 5:00 p.m. Ticket prices are as follows: $60 adults – green section/$55 – adults yellow section/$50 adults – red section/$45 adults – grey section, and children under 10 are $40 for any section. This is a family holiday tradition since 1980. Featuring the exceptional talent of pre-professional student dancers from Palos Verdes Ballet and international guest artists, this enchanting performance brings Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece to life with elegance and artistry. Act I features a stunning snow backdrop hand-painted by acclaimed artist Lucrecia Dezo, transporting audiences into a dreamlike winter wonderland. Marvel at the dazzling beauty of Act II, set in the Land of Sweets, with scenic design by Christiaan Wagener, renowned Art Director of Die Hard II-echoing the grandeur he helped create 45 years ago.
