Celebrating Independence Day in Palos Verdes.

On Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be offering a guided walk through the Portuguese Bend Landslide area explaining the history of the landslide and pointing out the resulting land formations.

Palos Verdes residents are lucky to be able to view fireworks from both sides of the Peninsula. Beginning at Torrance Beach, residents will be able to observe the Fourth of July fireworks all the way up the coast. On the east side of the Peninsula, fireworks can be seen from Cabrillo Beach, the Queen Mary and along the Long Beach coastline.

The most delicious strawberries available for Palos Verdes homes owners are Harry's Berries Gaviota Strawberries and can be purchased at the Torrance Farmer's Market and the Hermosa Beach Farmer's Market.

Shakespeare by the Sea will be presenting "King John" at Terannea Resort on July 11, 2013, and "All's Well That Ends Well" at Fred Hess Park on August 4, 2013.

The 2013 Lunada Bay concerts will be held on July 14, July 21 & July 28, featuring salsa, country and British Invasion.
