The South Coast Botanic Garden offers a free admission day on July 18, 2017, for all to enjoy their Summer gardens.

The Hills Are Alive 2017 - 10K and 5K race and a 5K walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates and benefits The Pepper Tree Foundation.

Palos Verdes homes owners can watch three fun family movies this Summer 2017 at Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall, Hesse Park & South Coast Botanical Garden.

Palos Verdes beaches have once again received a grade of A+& A+ by Heal the Bay and are on their 2016 - 2017 top honors list. Heal the Bay has been working since 1990 to make sure that beach goers are aware of the possible pollution of their beaches.

During the month of July 2017, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is offering hikes on Palos Verdes trails - including nocturnal hikes, bird watching, and volunteer opportunities.

Fourth of July fireworks 2017 can be seen from Palos Verdes and other South Bay locations. There will be local fireworks at 9:00 p.m. at Redondo Beach's Seaside Lagoon and Torrance Civic Center.

Summer Concerts In The Park 2017 Malaga Cove series in Palos Verdes begins July 12, 2017, and continues every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. through August 30 2017, and will include Bad Haggis, Andy & Renee, The Motown Thang, The Hodads, David Benoit, A Peaceful Easy Tribute, Jim Curry & Company and Cody Bryant.

Lunada Bay Homeowners Association will be hosting their summer concerts series at Lunada Bay Park on Sundays: July 9 (at Palos Verdes High School), July 23, August 6, August 13 and August 28, 2017.

The Terranea Summer Music Series features weekend music in the garden located next to Nelson's throughout the summer through Labor Day weekend 2017.

Shakespeare by the Sea will be presenting "Macbeth" and "The Taming of the Shrew" during the months of June, July and August 2017 at three different Palos Verdes Peninsula locations.
