The 66th Portuguese Bend National Horse Show at Ernie Howlett Park Friday, Sept 6, thru Sunday, Sept 8, 2024, w/horse competitions, old fashioned hometown fair, petting zoo, games & moon bounces.

Palos Verdes enjoys this summer's last "Movies In The Park" at the Ken Dyda Civic Center on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with the showing of "KUNG FU PANDA" with fun children's events beginning at 7:00 p.m.

During August 2024, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy offers Guided Walks on Palos Verdes Trails, Nature Club for Kids, Native Plant Sales, Storytime Trails, Outdoor Restoration Activities and Volunteer Trainings & Activities

Special Dog Walking Hours at the South Coast Botanic Garden will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, with advance reservations for time slots between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Palos Verdes beaches once again received high grades on the 2023- 2024 Heal the Bay Report, which has been tracking our beaches since 1990 to ensure that beach goers are aware of the possible pollution of their beaches.

The Palos Verdes Neighborhood Church will presenting their free Summer Sunday Sounds concerts on July 21 & August 18, 2024. Timothy Yang will be performing on August 11, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

The Hills Are Alive - 10K and 5K race and a 5K walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates and benefits The Pepper Tree Foundation.
