Palos Verdes Half Marathon and 5K Run & Walk will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Pelican Cove adjacent to Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes beginning at 7:00 a.m..

The Promenade on the Peninsula in Palos Verdes and The Peninsula Center are offering fun children's activities and trick or treating for families to enjoy on Halloween.

On Sunday, October 27, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., the Los Serenos volunteers will walk you down to the beach through the switchback trails while you enjoy all the local fall blooms.

Palos Verdes residents can enjoy fall activities at the Harvest Festival at the Lunada Bay Plaza on October 27, 2013, from 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.

Palos Verdes Autumn Impressions, a family coastal hike and children's art workshop, will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon. The event will start at Pelican Cove and continue at Terranea Resort.

The 2013 Promenade on the Peninsula 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, October 13, at 8:30 a.m., at the Promenade on the Peninsula Mall located at 550 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates.

Locally, White Point Nature Preserve will be celebrating National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This gives us an opportunity to volunteer and assist in the upkeep of our natural Preserve.

Roling Hills Estates City Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Empty Saddle Club and will include equestrian events, hay wagon rides, petting zoo, live on stage acts, watermelon eating contest, the Annual Poker Ride, a barbecue dinner and more.

On September 21, 2013, Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be sponsoring an International Coastal Cleanup Day at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m.

The 56th Annual Portuguese Bend National Horse Show will be held at Ernie Howlett Park on Friday, September 6, through Sunday, September 8, 2013. The event will not only have horse competitions, but will also have the feel of an old fashioned hometown fair with petting zoos, pony rides, moon bounces and more.
