Just a reminder for Palos Verdes homes owners that Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 2:00 a.m. Set all clocks back by an hour on Saturday, November 5, 2016, when you retire and enjoy an extra hour of sleep!

Palos Verdes Estates is holding its Annual Shredding & E-Waste Collection for Palos Verdes Estates residents on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Palos Verdes High School.

Palos Verdes home owners have many choices of restaurants at Promenade on the Peninsula including Good Stuff, El Polla Inka, Luna Rossa Ristorante Pizzeria, Red Brick Pizza, Ruby's Diner, Rubio's & Plates American Bistro. Peninsula Center's new restaurants include Chipolte Restaurant and Habit Burger Grill.

The Harvest Festival, sponsored by the Lunada Bay Homeowners Association, will take place on October 9, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Lunada Bay Plaza.

Rolling Hills Estates City Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ernie Howlett Park and will include equestrian events, hay wagon rides, petting zoo, live on stage acts, watermelon eating contest, the Annual Poker Ride and mobile food vendors.

During the month of September 2016, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is offering hikes on Palos Verdes trails - including nocturnal hikes, bird watching, and volunteer opportunities.
