On Saturday, September 14, 2013, the Palos Verdes Concours D'Elegance will hold their Pleasure Road Rallye starting at 12:00 noon at the Rolling Hills Country Club and finishing at the Palos Verdes Golf Club with many stops in between.

On Sunday, September 15, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m., the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance will be celebrating its 21st year with "Age of Elegance" showcasing some of the most luxurious automobiles from the Classic era.

On August 10, 2013, from 12-2 p.m., the Palos Verdes Library District will be having a summer event at the Peninsula Center Library called "Reading Is So Delicious" with a Food Truck Extravaganza and other fun activities to promote summer reading.

Peninsula Seniors lecture series for the month of August will meet every Wednesday from 10:30- 11:30 a.m., at Hesse Park in the Fireside Room and includes presentations by by Bruce Biesman-Simons, Dr James Wethe, Robert Eckert and Alan Cook & Janele Carbajal..

On August 4, 2013, Shakespeare By The Sea will be presenting "All's Well That Ends Well" at Hesse Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Hills Are Alive Race - 10K and 5K and a 5K walk - will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates and benefits The Pepper Tree Foundation.
