Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is presenting Kindergarten Parent Information Meetings on January 26 & 27, 2016, and all parents that have kindergarten children entering in the 2016-2017 school year are encouraged to attend.

Palos Verdes Peninsula High School and Palos Verdes High School are hosting several information sessions for students and parents in Palos Verdes to assist in their selection of a high school for the 2016-2017 school year.

Whale watching off the Palos Verdes coast has returned with 40 whales spotted as of December 14th. Point Vicente Interpretive Center is an excellent spot to view the whales from the land, and two local companies have boat excursions that you can book.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy offers many opportunities during the month of January 2016, for volunteering, hiking, bird watching, nocturnal events and more.

The Palos Verdes Art Center has opened their winter registration for adult & children's classes that begin the week of January 11, 2016.

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be offering a moderate walk at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park at 2:30 p.m.

Santa is coming to Palos Verdes and you can enjoy Breakfast with Santa at several different locations, plus there are picture taking opportunities and Santa visits at our local parks and malls.

Holiday Music can be enjoyed at the following venues on Sunday, December 6, 2015; Mary & Joseph Retreat Center, St. Peter's By The Sea, and Marymount California University.
