On Saturday, July 7, 2012, the George F. Canyon Preserve & Nature Center will offer their morning Bird Walk at 9:00 a.m. and their afternoon First Saturday Walk through the Canyon at 1:00 p.m.

Fort MacArthur Museum is holding its annual fundraiser on July 7 & 8, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a history timeline from the Roman Era through the Modern Era. Forth MacArthur Museum is located in Angels Gate Park in San Pedro at 3601 S. Gaffey Street.

Palos Verdes outdoor yoga will be held at the Promenade of the Peninsula by Equinox Yoga instructor, Adji, on the first Saturday of the next three months (July 7, August 4 & September 1, 2012).

A Canyon Night Hike will take place at George F. Canyon on Friday, July 6, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. Reservations are required and there is a limit of 20 participants for this two mile round trip hike with fantastic city lights views.

Summer Concerts In The Park 2012 Malaga Cove series begins July 11th and continues every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. through August 29th and will include Chelsea Williams, Tin Drum, Mighty Mo Rogers, Bad Haggis, David Benoit & Family, Jim Sitterly Trio, Orange Colored Sky an Cody Bryant.

Fourth of July fireworks can be seen from Palos Verdes and other South Bay locations. There will be fireworks at 9:00 p.m. off Torrance Beach, Redondo Beach's Seaside Lagoon and San Pedro's Cabrillo Beach.

2012 Palos Verdes Fourth of July celebrations will be held in Palos Verdes Estates at Malaga Cove School beginning at 9:30 a.m. and in Rancho Palos Verdes at the Civic Center beginning at 11:00 a.m.

A Palos Verdes summer concert will be held on June 21, 2012 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in Lunada Bay Park and will feature Chaussee's Big Band. This is sponsored by PVE-CARES.

National Trails Day will be held at Del Cerro Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on June 2, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to noon and will include hikes, guided nature walks, raffle prizes, treasure hunt and other activities.

Palos Verdes Horse Happenings On The Hill will take place at Ernie Howlett Park on Sunday, June 10, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can enjoy beautiful horses, trail rides, competitive riding, demonstrations, and a tack sale.
