Palos Verdew whale watching and other marine events will be part of Whale Of A Day at the Point Vicente Intrepretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes on Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cherry Blossom in Palos Verdes can be seen at the South Coast Botanic Garden. They are just starting to bloom at the garden. Cherry Blossom Picnic Day will be held on March 2, 2013, from 9-5.

The Wayfarers Chapel, also known as the Glass Chapel, was recognized by Fox News as being one of the top 12 most beautiful churches in America. Located in Rancho Palos Verdes, it offers a unique combination of architecture and nature adding to the beautiful surrounding gardens. Designed by Lloyd Wright in 1951.

Rancho Caninos Dog Park opens in Palos Verdes on a half acre where dogs can enjoy running and socializing. There are separate areas for large and small dogs.

Cherry Blossom in Palos Verdes can be seen at the South Coast Botanic Garden. I am told they are just starting to bloom but best to call the Garden at 310-544-1948 to check their progress. Cherry Blossom Picnic Day will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 9-5.

Palos Verdes tide pool walk will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park in Rancho Palos Verdes 90275. Parking will be free from 11:45 to 3:00.

S.S. Lane Victory, a national historic landmark, is berthed in San Pedro and is open daily. 3 "Victory at Sea" cruises are available on special dates during the summer with reservations.

Founders Park in Rancho Palos Verdes 0275 is located adjacent to Trump National Golf Course clubhouse and may be used for outdoor ceremonies.

Point Fermin Lighthouse, on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, was built in 1874 and is one of the oldest lighthouses on the West Coast. It is located on Paseo Delo Mar in San Pedro.

Fort MacArthur Museum at Angels Gate Park in San Pedro offers a glimpse of our coastline's defense during World War I and World War II.
