The Annex is nestled in the Village Shopping Center which is located next to the Peninsula Library in Rolling Hills Estates. This is a place that provides students in grades 6-12, a supervised dedicated space that compliments the Library and Freedom4U’s programs. It offers a safe, constructive interaction in a comfortable environment with up-to-date collective materials, such as paper backs and magazines. Here the teens have access to games, computers and other forms of entertainment. The program is sponsored by Freedom4U and Palos Verdes Library District. It’s a great place for teens to go after school and just hang out and have fun. Some have formed study groups for homework and test study. Sometimes there are special activities such as coffee houses, music & comedy activities and mentoring and life skills workshops.
The Annexis open Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 7:00p.m. It is hosted Monday through Thursday by PVLD, and on Friday by Freedom4U. Saturday and Sunday the Annex is open only for specific programs.
