What are you doing on Sunday mornings?  Many Palos Verdes homes owners visit our local Palos Verdes Farmers’ Market right here in the Peninsula Center.  Every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. local farmers and growers sell their crops directly to the public.  You can find a wide array of fresh and locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables.  You will also find other vendors which complement the farmers produce with fresh breads, prepared food, meats, fish  and even crafts.  You can stop by the local coffee shop for a cup of coffee, or try some of the hot foods with their tantalizing aromas.

There are just so many great reasons to shop the Farmers’ Market aside from the ambiance of the marketplace itself.  You are eliminating the middleman so the product offered is usually fresher, cheaper and you can often find more specialty items.  It’s fun to be able to talk to the farmer who is actually growing the goods that he/she is selling you.  The Certified Farmers’ Marketsare part of a statewide program meant to increase the sustainability of small farmers by connecting them with the consumer.  So not only are you just enjoying your morning  outdoors, but you are also helping increase the economic opportunities of our local farmers.

The Peninsula Centeris located at Hawthorne and Silver Spur Road in Rolling Hills Estates.  Entrance to the Palos Verdes Farmers’ Market is from Silver Spur near Starbucks and Petco.
