You are invited to view three of the earliest homes built on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in the early to mid 1920’s that were selected for their historical significance. These homes are all part of that era’s Spanish revival architecture and each has its own unique features and colorful history. The tour will take place on April 15th and 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tour will begin at the First Church of Christian Scientist located at 4010 Palos Verdes Dr. North, Palos Verdes Estates 90274. The tour is organized by The Circle, a support group for the Palos Verdes Art Center. Part of the tour is a short walk of the Malaga Cove Plaza featuring the Neptune Fountain and Italianate buildings. There will also be a chance to see local artists’ works, boutiques (with everything from children’s clothing, furniture, rugs) and also a “Collectibles” booth that will be located at Olmsted Place and the Malaga Cove Green.
Tickets for the Homes Tour will include an alfresco lunch provided by three catering establishments in the area. The pre-sale tickets are $40 per person for Art Center members, and $45 for non-members. Tickets that are sold the day of the event are $50 although this event is expected to sell out before the tour day. Tickets can be purchased at the Palos Verdes Art Center, at 5504 Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes 90275, or call (310) 541-2479. For more information go to www.pvartcenter.org.
