Saturday, August 13th, the Lunada Canyon Nature Walk will be sponsored by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. The walk will start at 4:00 p.m and continue till 6:00 p.m., led by volunteer and staff naturalists, historians and/or a geologist. The walk is family oriented and will go through the quiet neighborhood canyon in the Agua Amarga Reserve in Rancho Palos Verdes. This is one of the first lands owned by the Conservancy and was a gift from the Zukerman Family. This is considered to be a moderate walk.
To participate in this fun walk you will take Hawthorne Blvd, turn west onto Verde Ridge Road, right on El Rodeo and left on King Harbor Road. Park on the street and meet near Posey Way. Wear shoes with good traction and use sun protection. Water is a must when you are out of doors, so remember the water bottles. Reservations are not required.
