We have just started to enjoy daylight savings time and Spring isn’t even here yet, but summer school sign ups are fast approaching. The Palos Verdes Unified School District has posted the calendar for this years summer programs and, if history repeats itself, they will fill up fast.
Registration for elementary students for summer school will begin on April 8, 2013. The classes will be held this year at Silver Spur, Dapplegray, Mira Catalina and Vista Grande. The school hours will be 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and classes run from June 17 through July 12, 2013.
Registration for intermediate students who will be participating in a Summer Pepp Program, will begin on April 1, 2013. This year’s morning classes will be offered at Palos Verdes Intermediate, Ridgecrest Intermediate and Miraleste Intermediate. Classes start at 8:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Students will be attending classes from June 17 through July 12.
Summer high school for students in grades nine through twelve, will be offered at Palos Verdes High School. Online registration will be activated according to the grade specified. On March 19th, PVPUSD Seniors (Grade 12 in Sept. 2013) will be able to start registration at 6:30 a.m. On March 20th, PVPUSD Juniors (Grade 11 in Sept 2013) will be activated at 6:30 a.m. On March 21st, PVPUSD Sophomores (grade 10 in September 2013) will be activated at 6:30 a.m. On April 15th, PVPUSD Freshman (Grade 9 in September 2013) will be activated at 6:30 a.m. Open registration for all students including out of district will open on April 17th, 2013. These classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 7:55 a.m. – 12:55 p.m. The school session will start on June 17 and go through July 25.
