As a Palos Verdes homes owner, you have probably visited the South Coast Botanic Garden on more than one occasion, and here are some of the wonderful flower shows and sales they have planned for August and September 2013:
On Saturday, August 17, 2013, from noon to 4:00 p.m, and Sunday, August 18, 2013, from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. the Dahlia Society will be presenting their amazing Dahlias in the Frances Young Hall. These beautiful flowers come in so many varieties of colors, shapes and sizes. They bring beauty and life back into your landscape in the late summer and into fall months. Society members will be there to answer questions regarding landscape design.
On Saturday, August 24, 2013, the Begonia Society will be holding their 23rd annual Begonia Show here at the Gardens from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can see the many beautiful and unusual Begonias exhibited by many of the members. There are always plants on sale to take home for your own garden.
On Saturday, September 21, 2013, the Orchid Society will be having their show and sale. Sales areas open at 9:00 am on both Saturday and Sunday. The “Orchids-R-Easy” demonstration will be held both days beginning at 11:00 a.m. Show areas open at 11:00 a.m. to -5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
