Do you know how to download free books from the library? The Palos Verdes Library District is giving Palos Verdes homes owners an opportunity to learn how to download eBooks from it’s local libraries. The Peninsula Center Library will be hosting a demonstration on how to borrow eBooks for FREE from the library. The library will be offering an eBook class for your iPad and Kindle, to assist you in accessing the eBooks. The class will take place on Monday, October 7, 2013, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. For more information contact the Reference Desk at (310) 377-9584 ext. 601. This is definitely a class that I should take!
The Library is also showing Free Movies. Each month they offer recent releases, classic cinema and foreign movies. Most screenings will have some post film discussion which adds an opportunity to socialize with others in the community. In October they will be showing movies on the following dates; October 7, at 12:00 p.m. will be TOUCH OF EVIL – from the Movies at Noon series, on October 10 at 5:30, SHOWER – a movie from the Cine Monde film series, and on October 24, at 3:00 & 6;00 p.m., MUDD – a movie from The Multiplex Film series will be shown. For more information on the film program, contact Joshua Peck at jpeck@pvld.org.
The Peninsula Center Library is located at 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates.
