Here on the Peninsula Palos Verdes homes owners are fortunate to have free Christmas tree pick up after the holidays.
Palos Verdes Estates residents are scheduled for pick up of their Christmas trees starting on December 26, thru January 17, 2014. This year service will be provided during your normal weekly trash pickup. Trees will be removed from your normal trash enclosure or trash area. After January 17th, however, you are responsible to cut and bundle your tree securely with twine or rope and leave in your trash area. Stands and all decorations including tinsel must be removed. Lightly flocked trees are acceptable.
The City of Rolling Hills will be recycling their trees as part of the regular trash pick-up program. Just put it out on your regular green trash day, and the trees will be picked up from December 26, 2013, through January 13, 2014. Remember to remove everything from the tree including the stand and flocked trees are fine.
Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates will also be recycling trees as part of their regular trash pick up from December 30, 2013, through January 18, 2014. Once again, remember to remove everything from the tree.
