The Palos Verdes Art Center is continuing it’s annual Best House Raffle for the 12th year. This year’s dream prize is the most dramatic ever – a $1,925,000 home located in Lunada Bay and $1,000,000 cash or $2,000,000 cash (based on 40,000 ticket sales).
For the past eleven years, the Palos Verdes Art Center has given away over $12,500,000 in cash and prizes. The money is being raised to continue to fund exhibition, education and outreach programs making visual arts available, accessible and affordable. The Art Center is available for local Palos Verdes homes owners to take classes, purchase hand crafted items and visit local artists’ gallery showings. It also hosts the Art At Your Fingertips training center which provides the Palos Verdes Peninsula School District with their art programs. Art Center has also been used to teach art projects to at-risk youth and foster children.
The donation for a raffle ticket is still $150, and they are once again offering a special drawing for buyers of 2 or more tickets which are purchased at the same time and have the same names. These multiple tickets must be purchased by April 4, 2014, and you will be entered into six drawings: two drawings at each Early Bird 1, Early Bird 2 and for the Grand Prize. These special drawing ticket holders can win up to $75,000 in additional prizes. There are 40,000 tickets for sale this year because in the past they have sold out. The Early Bird #1 drawing will take place on April 10, 2014, and tickets must be purchased by April 4, 2014. This first drawing will have a Mini Cooper or $25,000 for the first prize and cash for second, third and fourth place. Early Bird #2 drawing will be held on May 9, 2014, and tickets must be purchased by May 2, 2014, and this drawing will offer a BMW 428i or $40,000 for first place with cash prizes to follow. The actual Grand Prize drawing will be held on May 30, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. So what would you do with $2,000,000?
