AYSO Fall & Summer Registration Plus AYSO Extra Program

ayso 2014

Palos Verdes Soccer Region 10 is now accepting registration for 2014 Fall and Summer programs online.  The Palos Verdes Region 10 of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) offers year round recreational and competitive youth soccer programs locally for four year olds (U5 division) all the way up to 19 year olds (U19).

As the online registration for Fall and Summer soccer is now available, all players must go to www.eayso.org and register in the AYSO database.  This new program allows you to pay online with a credit card when you register.  They are no longer accepting checks or cash.  All returning players in divisions U10, U11, U12, U14, U16 and U19 can register online and pay by credit card to complete their registration without attending the in-person registration.  However, if the player is requesting to play up a division, they must let AYSO know in writing and mail the form to Palos Verdes AYSO, P.O. Box 2302, PVP, CA. 90274.  Players in the U5 and U6 must register in person on April 12, 2014, or May 31, 2014.  All players in the U7 to U9 divisions whose parent is not a returning head coach must also register in person at the above dates.

Registration will be on Saturday, April 12, 2014, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Hesse Park Community Center.  The cost for registration from now (Early Bird Registration) through April 12, 2014 is $145 for your first child, and $130 for each additional child.  If you wait until April 13 through May 31, 2014, to register the fees will be $170 for the first child and $155 for each additional sibling.  After May 31st, the fee will be $195 and you could possibly be put on a waitlist.  You must pre-register and pay by credit card by going to www.eayso.org.  You still need to formally register in person if you do not meet the above requirements.  Checks and cash will not be accepted at registration.

This year, AYSO EXTRA is available; it is a program established by AYSO for children who possess the appropriate desire, ability, and skill and want to play soccer at a more competitive level.  AYSO EXTRA is an attractive alternative to club soccer programs as it is often less expensive and maintains AYSO core principles including a minimum 50% play rule and positive coaching.  Additional details regarding AYSO EXTRA can be found on the AYSO National website.  You must be registered into the Fall program to try out; tryout dates and times are available on the www.ayso10.com website.

If you are interested in volunteering, you will find the required paperwork on the registration site.  Since AYSO is a 100% volunteer organization, they are always looking for volunteers to fill coach and referee positions.  (There is a special express line at registration for volunteers.)   If your child has not played the previous year, you will be required to bring proof of your child’s age either by birth certificate or passport.

Hesse Park is located at 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard, Rancho Palos Verdes, 90275.
