The Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run & 5K Walk
Palos Verdes homes owners are invited to come out and support our local “The Hills Are Alive Race” which benefits Rolling Hills Estates’ Pepper Tree Foundation. This Foundation was established in 1982 to promote citizen contributions and donations to enrich the quality of life in Rolling Hills Estates. The foundation has been helpful in providing the trees, benches, picnic tables and other items which help to enhance and preserve the city parks and open spaces. This will be the 33rd annual race and takes place on Saturday, August 9, 2014, starting at 8:00 a.m.
Participants will enjoy running or walking on the soft packed bridle trails throughout scenic Rolling Hills Estates and the beautiful grounds of the South Coast Botanic Gardens. The race will both start and finish at Ernie Howlett Park located at 25851 Hawthorne Boulevard, Rolling Hills Estates, 90274. There will be trophies awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 10K Run and 5K Runs. Medals will also be awarded to the top three male and female finishers for both runs in each age division.
The registration fee for the event is $30 for advance sign up which can be dropped off or mailed to City of Rolling Hills Estates, 4045 Palos Verdes Dr North, Rolling Hills Estates, CA. 90274.
