Palos Verdes Library District Presents “The Nature Principle”
The Palos Verdes Library District is presenting its annual program One Book One Peninsula, on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the 2014 book selection of “The Nature Principle” by Richard Louv. This groundbreaking book shows how tapping into the restorative powers of the natural world can boost our mental acuity and creativity, promote health and wellness, build smarter and more sustainable businesses, communities and economies and ultimately strengthen human bonds.
This free public event is held at the Peninsula Center Library and will include a discussion of the book, a question & answer session and a book signing. Richard Louv is the co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Children & Nature Network and the author of eight books. His books have helped launch an international movement to connect children, families and communities to nature. Richard Louv is the recipient of the 2008 Audubon Medal.
