Zombie Apocalypse Garden Run at South Coast Botanic Garden!
Palos Verdes homes owners have a new way to keep Halloween fun alive this year. A few zombies will be running around the South Coast Botanic Garden on Saturday, November 15, 2014, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Race runners and walkers will be attempting to complete the 4.3K course, traversing zombie infested trails and avoiding being caught. Friends can join in teams to collectively take on the hoard of zombies with a series of challenges that pit them against other teams. If you can escape without being caught, you will be given a free treat at the end. Not knowing what could jump out at you from the shadows or what waits around the next turn will be challenging. This will be an exciting event. Whether you survive the zombies or lose your “flag belt” during the run, there will be plenty of fun to be had at the post apocalypse party for humans and zombies alike. The party will feature a beer garden from a local craft brewery, great food, DJ, photo ops, winning team ceremony, event t-shirt and afterwards you can join local vendors with awesome products to show off.
Registration is $35 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. There is also a $10 fee for spectators which includes admission to the base camp and post apocalypse party.
