White Point Home Tour & Reception 2015
On Sunday, September 13, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the annual White Point Home Tour will take place. Palos Verdes homes owners have an excellent opportunity to visit seven uniquely featured homes in the San Pedro area which have a focus on art, architecture or landscaping. You will begin your day with registration pick up beginning at 11:00 a.m. at “House 1002” which is a storefront located at 1002 South Pacific Avenue in San Pedro where you will pick up your wrist bands and the maps (with full descriptions and addresses of the houses that you will be viewing on this self guided tour). Some of the homes you will be visiting are the Point Fermin Spanish Classic which features one of the first homes in this area and has a great view and lovely garden, the Cabrillo Beach Modern with unique architectural features and sits directly on the water, the Ever Changing Ocean View Treasure with a fantastic art collection and Catalina view, the Cape Cod family home which features an artist studio that you will be able to view, the Iconic Queen Anne which houses an international photographer and his wife who have restored this beautiful Queen Anne and the Harbor View Haven which is a writer’s retreat in an old family home that has been restored.
Following the tour (and included in the ticket price) there will be a reception with wine and refreshments, musical entertainment, and silent auction with items such as art pieces, jewelry, vacation homes and other local excursions, at the White Point Nature Preserve from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit White Point Nature Preserve site improvements and habitat restoration by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. The White Point Nature Preserve is located at 1600 Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro.
