South Coast Botanic Garden Annual Orchid Fall Show & Sale
This year the South Coast Botanic Garden will celebrate the Annual Fall Orchid Show and Sale which showcases hundreds of blooming orchids from all over the world on Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Palos Verdes homes owners can meet local commercial orchid growers to find out more about companion plants, potting, planting and growing of orchids. The growers will be offering a variety of unique species and hybrid orchids. Not only will these plants be on sale, but volunteer growers will be teaching the popular Orchids R Easy classes with demonstrations throughout the show. The vendors will each have a display exhibit with an orchid theme. There will also be volunteers to answer your questions.
Classes will include mounting orchids, repotting, growing, plant care and other helpful hints. As part of the show there will be hourly raffles. This year there will be a “plant hotel” where you can leave your purchases while you continue to enjoy the show. There is no additional fee for the show just the regular entrance fee.
The South Coast Botanic Garden is located at 26300 Crenshaw Boulevard, Palos Verdes Peninsula.
