Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Native Garden Workday & Holiday Preview!
On the first Saturday of each month, the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is looking for volunteers to help maintain the Cabrillo Native Garden. Since 1935, the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium has provided visitors an amazing natural and interacting approach to marine science education. Palos Verdes homes owners have a great opportunity to join our Peninsula neighbors and learn more about the aquarium and its plant and animal inhabitants.
On Saturday, November 7, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the education staff and volunteers at the Cabrillo Native Garden will open their doors for residents to participate not only in the gardens operations, but also join others at the beach to clear the shore of marine debris. This is a great event and it is suggested that you make reservations by Thursday, November 5, 2015, at (310) 548-7562. Parking is free in the lot; then meet at the steps in front of the aquarium.
Also on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 & 8, 2015, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium will be having their 6th Annual Holiday Preview from 10:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. They will be displaying 20 Christmas trees with a beach/aquatic theme, and it should be fun. In addition to Christmas themed items there, will also be Hanukkah ornaments for purchase. The gift purchases benefit the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium educational programs.
