Palos Verdes Art Center Winter Registration Open!
The Palos Verdes Art Center Winter registration has begun for classes which will start the week of January 11, 2016. This start date is for both children and adult classes.
The children’s classes available this session under the Ceramics section include: Creative Ways with Clay, Beginning Wheel & Wild Animals: Ceramic Sculpture for Kids. Under the Drawing and Painting section, class titles are: Youth Painting & Pastel, Youth Drawing I& II, Chalk & Oil Pastel, Cartooning/Modeling Superheros & Anime & Manga Drawing. For children under 5, classes are Creating Together – Mommy/Daddy & Me, Imagination & Creations, and a new class – Paint, Cut, Paste, Play. For the teen student, new classes have been added – Fashion Illustration & Design and AP Art History Exam Preparation. Children and Teen classes are eight weeks long.
This Winter, there are over 70 adult classes being offered. Some of the adult classes available this winter are categorized as Watercolors, Porcelain, Monoprint, Metal Leaf, Art History, Ceramics, Drawing, Glass Blowing, Printmaking, Wearable Art, Gentle Yoga, Painting, Mixed Media, Art Journaling & Water Media. Some of these classes include visits to the exhibition galleries and interaction with skilled professionals. The instruction is not always based on a set formula. Some of the smaller classes are taught by artists and educators that base instruction on individual needs. These adult classes are ten weeks long, and class prices vary depending on the size of the class and the materials needed.
