Palos Verdes Stables Has Openings For Boarding & Lessons
Palos Verdes Stables was built in the early 1920’s before Palos Verdes Estates became a city. There was a time when children could ride bareback from the stables down to Malaga Cove Plaza to visit, at that time, Moore’s Market (which currently is Ranch Market), and could even ride down to Torrance Beach. Today, riding is limited to several specific trails and there are three arenas where riders can practice their skills.
Palos Verdes Stables offer a huge variety of programs for local residents to enjoy. There is a multi-tiered lesson program starting with beginner ponies to advanced horses. Depending on the type of riding that you are interested in and the experience of the rider, they have professional trainers for both private and group lessons. There is also a tot program which introduces young children to both horse riding and how to love and care for horses. Lessons range from 1/2 hour for beginners to hour long group rides for the more advanced riders.
Palos Verdes Stables currently have stalls available for rent between $540 to $600 per month for boarding. (This includes feed and stable care). The stables are located at 4057 Via Opata, Palos Verdes Estates. Their phone number is (310) 378-3527.
