Palos Verdes Welcomes Film & Music Events
The First Annual South Bay Film and Music Festival will have it’s opening tonight Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Hermosa Community Center, where it will kick off five days of film and musical fun. These shows consist of many different types of music and film genre and is a great activity for all to enjoy. There will be live music at different locations every night and movies, from all time favorites to surf movies, shown at different local venues during these five days. Hermosa Comunity Center is located at 710 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach.
Palos Verdes residents will be able to enjoy an evening of music and film at the South Coast Botanic Garden on Thursday, June 2, 2016, beginning at 6 p.m. “Live Music in the Garden” musical showcase starring Isla June and Nick Shattuck will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. You will enjoy this outdoor concert fun by bringing a blanket or chairs and start the night off with live music, wine and food trucks or just bring your own picnic.
After the concert beginning at 8:15 to 9:45 p.m., they will be having their special movie screening of “Stand By Me.” This movie is a Rated R (Restricted) and those under 17 years of age will require a parent or adult guardian.
