PVE-CARES 2016 Annual Senior Health & Wellness Fair

Due to the weather forecast expecting scattered rain showers throughout the day on Friday, October 28th,
the 11th Annual PVE-CARES Senior Health & Wellness Fair has been postponed with a NEW DATE AND LOCATION.

Palos Verdes 11th Annual Senior Health & Wellness Fair will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Church. This Senior Health Fair is offered by PVE-CARES (Community Assistance and Resources for the Elderly and Seniors). The program was created by the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department to assist seniors so they may live independently and feel safe in their homes on the Peninsula. The program offers many different events to increase awareness of what the city offers for seniors – updating them on security issues, how to notify the police department when leaving on vacation to local assistance in health care and medical needs.
Palos Verdes homes owners will once again be able to get free flu shots for seniors and other medical screenings. There will also be 50’s music courtesy of Chaussee’s Big Band and lunch will be served for the participants. The Fair will also feature an opportunity drawing for prizes and over 30 exhibitors of local resources geared toward senior services. This is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of these great services, and also to have a relaxing visit at one of our most beautiful, historic locations on the Peninsula.
The Neighborhood Church is located at 415 Paseo Del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates.
