Palos Verdes homes owners can celebrate Holiday Traditions locally on the Peninsula with many upcoming events. There are tree lighting celebrations, holiday parades, Nutcracker ballets, visits with Santa and more. Here are just a few of the events coming our way:
On Saturday, December 19, 2016, the Promenade on the Peninsula will be hosting their Annual Tree Lighting ceremony at 5:00 p.m. This event will showcase local youth talent from Amuse Music Center and Elite Dance Center, and there will be hot chocolate to sip on and a very special guest visitor.
The Nutcracker Ballet will be starting this weekend with performances at the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Center. Peninsula School of Performing Arts performances will start on Friday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, at 2:00 & 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets prices are $32 adults/$22 children under 12. On Saturday, December 3, 2016, the City of Rolling Hills Estates’ annual Parade of Lights will take place with many local community groups and businesses sponsoring floats and participating in the Parade. This year the parade’s grand marshal will be Don Knabe, L.A. County Supervisor. The parade will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and will travel along Silver Spur Road, Deep Valley Drive and the Center Drive. There are floats, bands, animals and, of course, Santa to make this an event to remember. You may want to come a little early to find yourself a great viewing spot.
