Palos Verdes Live Shakespeare By The Sea 2017 Performances
Here is another wonderful opportunity for Palos Verdes homes owners to relax and enjoy live outdoor entertainment here on our beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula. This is the 20th year of Shakespeare By The Sea performances, and this year they will be presenting “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Macbeth.” The Taming of the Shrew is the story of the rebellious Katherina who stands in the way of her younger sister Bianca’s marriage, fortune hunter Petruchio is enlisted to “tame” the elder daughter, freeing a path for Bianca’s motley suitors. Macbeth tells the story of the supernatural prophecy where Macbeth and his Lady embark on an ambitious quest to win the Scottish Throne. In the aftermath of their success, we glimpse at a world torn apart when a volatile, paranoid tyrant becomes King.
Point Fermin Park will be presenting both of the shows during the summer. “The Taming of the Shrew” will be presented on June 15, 16, 17, 29, July 1 & 7 and August 19, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. “Macbeth” will be presented on June 22, 23, 24, 30, July 6 & 8 and August 18, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. The park can be very chilly since it is right on the ocean.
