Palos Verdes Performing Arts Presents “Seussical Jr.”
Palos Verdes home owners have the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Norris Theatre with its wonderful selection of entertainment for your family to enjoy. “Seussical Jr.” will be playing on August 11 to 13th, 2017, bringing Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all your favorite Dr. Seuss characters back to life onstage, in a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
The Cat in the Hat will be narrating the story of Horton the Elephant transporting the audience from the Jungle of Noll to the Circus McGurkus. Horton discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called Whos, that he must protect from the naysayers and danger. He also must guard an abandoned egg that was left in his care by Mazzie La Bird. Poor Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, but the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never looses faith in him. This is definitely a show that lets you know the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community.
Performance times for “Seussical Jr.” at the Norris Theatre are 7:00 p.m. on Friday & Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday. Tickets start at $28 for adults/$15 for youth under 17, and can be purchased online at www.norriscenter.com or call (310) 544-0403.
