Cabrillo Marine Aquarium October Events
Palos Verdes homes owners have plenty of fun events taking place this month right in their own back yards. Cabrillo Marine Aquarium will be having their Saturday Arts and Crafts from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Each of the Cabrillo Art Corners will be featuring an unique ocean-themed project that helps to jump start creativity while engaging your senses and relaxes your mind.
Then on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., “SEA SCARE,” San Pedro’s Best Family Halloween Party will be returning. You will be able to see Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in a different light as it is transformed into an underwater world of chills, thrills and gills. Come in costume and join the masquerade of ghouls and goblins, trick-or-treat throughout the aquarium, enjoy spooky entertainment and oceans of fun!
The Aquarium’s Aquatic Nursery will have a special treasure hunt, scary sea creature feedings, teach you how to make your own slime and how important slime is for ocean animals to survive. You can stop by the Exploration Center for some treats, participate in bioluminescent crafts and learn about deep-sea creatures that lurk in our oceans. In the Marine Research Library, you can hear some spooky stories about creepy creations. If you are wearing your Halloween costume, you can enter the contest for a chance to win prizes. In addition to all of these great activities, there will be carnival style games and a dance party zone with a live DJ. The Craft Corner will have activities for kids of all ages with spooky cookie decorating, slime making, trick-or-treat bag decorating, mask making, and more.
You can save time and money by purchasing tickets online; this event is known to sell out. Online tickets are $7 adults/$3 children if purchased before October 28, 2017. During this time, you can also purchase tickets at the gift shop for the same price. If you purchase tickets at the gate the day of the event, the cost will be $10 adults/$7 children.
