Local South Bay Area 2017 Holiday Events!

Palos Verdes home owners are getting ready for the 2017 holiday season. Here are some of the fun events that our neighboring cities are hosting.

Torrance Memorial Medical Center will be presenting their 34th annual “Holiday Festival” beginning Tuesday, November 28, 2017, and running through Sunday, December 3, 2017.  The Festival will feature decorated trees and a holiday celebration that includes a food court, musical entertainment, fun children’s activities and a large Holiday gift section.  More than 30 trees are each decorated with a different theme and will be sold with proceeds going to support the transformation of Torrance Memorial’s North Patient Tower which will house mother/baby postpartum, pediatrics and NICU.  The “Holiday Festival” is located in the parking lot under the big white tent adjacent to the hospital on Skypark & Medical Center Drives.  The public can view the trees and boutique on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday & Thursday, November 29 and November 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The cost is $5 per person, and free for children under 3 years old.  Senior citizens can enjoy the festivities for free on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  There will also be a lunch with Santa on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for $15 per person; this is a great opportunity to bring your camera and take photos of your little one with Santa.  In addition to the Holiday Tree Festival, there is a Fashion Show & Festival Gala.  Additional information is available at www.torrancememorial.org/HolidayFestival, or call (310) 517-4703.  The Hospital is located at 3330 Lomita Boulevard, Torrance.

In Riviera Village, the annual “Riviera Village Holiday Stroll” will take place on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  This is a great event for all ages with a parade featuring marching bands from local schools and Santa will be making an appearance around 6:00 p.m.  The stores will be bringing out their festive wares and treats and you will definitely feel the holiday cheer.  The Stroll takes place on Catalina Avenue and Avenue I in Redondo Beach.
