Palos Verdes home owners have been able to enjoy the new Orchard Supply Hardware store here on the Peninsula since it opened in March 2017. This location is a great asset for homeowners as we don’t have to drive into Torrance or San Pedro to purchase goods for our households.
Orchard Supply Hardware is celebrating its first year anniversary, and is reaching out with “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” services. Did you know that some of the great services they offer are “Workbench” services such are cutting keys, glass & plexiglass, wire, chain, rope and lumber that is purchased at this location. They also have watch battery replacement, pipe cutting and threading, re-screening doors and windows, and re-keying. When you need to sharpen your scissors, knives, axes and pruners, look no further as they can assist you at Orchard Supply.
The Potting Bench will actually pot your plants for free with any purchase of a plant and pot. Having a large nursery was a great addition during the holiday season when I was able to purchase my Christmas tree in my own neighborhood. They also have a free Recycling program that includes household batteries, light bulbs, thermostats, cardboard and paint cans. Instead of waiting for the cities’ yearly recycling programs, contact Orchard to see if your items fit their parameters. Shopping Local First helps to put dollars back into our city pockets with sales revenues, and also the hiring of local neighbors. You can also to also visit our local family run Lunada Bay Hardware store that has been supporting its neighbors for years.
Orchard Supply Hardware store hours are: Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
