Palos Verdes Dog Walking Opportunities!
Palos Verdes home owners have several dog walking opportunities and choices of dog friendly restaurants. Here are just a few locations where your pet can participate in the fun.
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy now allows leashed dogs on almost all of their walks. On the Family Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve this Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. everyone in the family can enjoy a Naturalist guided walk through the Tongva Demonstration Garden. You will learn how early inhabitants used native plants for survival. Then walk through beautifully restored coastal sage scrub habitat with views of Catalina. For those interested in the military history of the area, continue to walk up to a WWII gun emplacement. The walk concludes with a visit to the Nature Education Center with multi-media activities for all ages. The White Point Education Center is located at 1600 W. Paseo del Mar in San Pedro. If you are looking for a fun family outing that Fido join in, you can enjoy a little exercise with an ocean view, followed up by a great meal at Terranea. You can stroll down the cliff path to Terranea Cove, then return back up to Nelsons Restaurant (which welcomes dogs) where the outdoor patio has picnic tables and a fire pit. This casual dining experience is very popular and is busy on the weekends. Nelsons is located at 100 Terranea Way, Rancho Palos Verdes.
Another local spot where Fido can come and enjoy your company while dining, is the outside dining areas of Ranch Market and Yellow Vase in the Malaga Cove Shopping Center. Both restaurants allow dogs to sit with their owners on their patios. The plaza is located at 36 Malaga Cove Plaza, Palos Verdes Estates.
