Palos Verdes Library District’s Extended Curbside Pickup Hours!

Palos Verdes Library District’s Extended Curbside Pickup Hours!

The Palos Verdes Library District will be starting its new Extended Curbside Pickup tomorrow, November 3, 2020, at the Peninsula Center Library, Malaga Cove & Miraleste branches. All library buildings are closed, and they are not accepting book donations at this time. Beginning tomorrow, the hours on Tuesday & Thursday will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Wednesday & Saturday from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.

You will be able to place, cancel, suspend, and pick up holds at the Palos Verdes Library District.  Included will be books, audiobooks, DVDs, video games, and music CDs. You will also be able to check out Chromebook or mobile wifi hotspot, by using the mobile printing service or you can even have the librarians browse for you.

First, check your account at www.pvld.org.  Your current holds that are available for pickup will say “Ready for Pickup.”  You can also cancel any holds you no longer need, place new holds, or modify how you’re notified about holds that are ready for pickup. You can pickup at the Peninsula Center Library at the roof parking lot at 650 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates. You just follow the signs, and have your library card ready, face covering on and pop your trunk when instructed. Both Malaga Cove & Miraleste branches will allow you to park and pick up your hold. Malaga Cove parking lot entrance is off of Via Pinale and it allows for parking and pick up. Miraleste Library parking lot will be open and services will be provided at the front entrance.

All book drops are open and all returned items will be quarantined for 4 days before check-in. There will be at least a 96-hour delay in returns displaying on your account. During the 96 hour holding period of returned items, overdue fines may appear on your account.
Fines accrued during the approximately 96-hour period will be removed once items are checked in. This may take up to 7 days. The library has returned to its normal policy regarding fines and fees.
