Palos Verdes Library District 2021 Children’s Summer Reading Program

Palos Verdes Library District 2021 Children’s Summer Reading Program

The Palos Verdes Library District offers reading activities for young children through grade twelve. Not only is summer a great time for children to maintain or even improve their reading skills, but if you haven’t visited the summer reading program at our local library, then you’re missing some great activities for the kids and adults too. In addition to reading books, members may also try some reading activities that are fun, exciting, informative and funny.  Children can track their progress online or use classic paper reading logs.  The theme this year, “Reading Colors Your World,” reminds children and parents that reading opens up the world to us all!  Go online at pvld.beanstack.org  to keep track of your children’s reading, or you can use a paper log by downloading one from the PVLD Summer Reading Program webpage or pick one up from the library. You can join anytime during the summer, and for more information call the Young Readers desk at 3120-377-9584, ext 600. You can help your children earn cool prizes and online awards while they enjoy reading stories. They can select from over 20 fun activities and for every four activities they complete they will be mailed a cool souvenir iron-on patch. The activities take about 15-30 minutes and kids can repeat favorite activities as many times as they like.
